**Head of Passive Radar Engineering (f/m/d)**: - Job Requisition ID: 1161 - Location: Ulm, DE, 89077 - Company: HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH **About the department** We are looking for a Head of the department “Passive Radar Engineering” within the "Naval & Ground Radar Engineering" organization at the Ulm site. The Passive Radar Engineering department is comprised of Passive Radar System Engineers, Technical Managers, and Passive Radar Experts. This dynamic team works in close collaboration with various specialized engineering departments across the company to drive the continuous development and enhancement of the Passive Radar Product Family. By leveraging diverse expertise and fostering interdisciplinary cooperation, the department aims to innovate and refine cutting-edge passive radar solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and the industry. **Your Tasks** - Management (content and disciplinary) of the department Passive Radar Engineering with ca. 15 employees in Ulm. - Ensure, plan and coordinate on time, on quality, on cost the delivery of Passive Radar Systems in compliance with contractual agreements and regulations in cooperation with other departments. - Ensure preparation of technical system concepts and cross-departmental engineering quotations in order to support technical bids. - Collaborate closely with the various specialized engineering departments. Continuously strive for improvements in this collaboration. - Evaluate and analyze development efforts from make-or-buy perspective, taking into account profitability, quality standards and deadlines. Monitor subcontractors to ensure performance. - Ensure that the development process in the department is applied and continuously optimized. Control and monitor development projects and conduct engineering reviews to monitor the results. Identify and mitigate development risks. - Preparation of budget, resource and investment planning as well as continuous capacity utilization planning for the area of responsibility. - Implement qualitative personnel planning. Lead, motivate and ensure individual development of employees. - Ensure compliance with organizational and supervisory duties within the area of responsibility. - Adequate reporting to management and program units. **Your Skills** - Engineering degree (electrical engineering, industrial engineering or similar) - Several years of systems engineering experience required - Several years of project management experience desirable - Several years of Passive Radar experience desirable - Experience in Passive Radar Projects with external customers desirable - Experience in development of Hensoldt Passive Radar Products desirable - First experiences in personnel management, e.g. as team leader desirable - Fluent in German and English **Job Segment**:RF Engineer, Project Manager, Industrial Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineer, Engineering, Technology
