Meet the team - Evonik Industries

RESPONSIBILITIES- Operator responsibility for the particle technology pilot plant at the Hanau site as well as for the particle technology facilities at the process engineering multipurpose pilot plant in Marl; safe and environmentally compatible plant operation in accordance with internal and external specifications (laws, directives, tech. standards, BTDs, etc.)- Disciplinary management responsibility for a highly motivated, diverse team consisting of scientific and technical staff (experts, process engineers, technicians, chemical technicians)- Project coordination with operational divisions of the Group for the optimization as well as further or new development of processes for almost all business lines of the Group- Management and processing of complex process engineering tasks in particle technology; independent selection and adaptation of different technical and methodological solutions- Project responsibility with a high degree of complexity; changing requirements on the part of the project partners with regard to objectives, processes, material systems, etc., as well as exploratory challenges in process development; ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget- Collaboration in working groups and expert committees - international, interdisciplinary, cross-divisional; performing a cross-divisional function to ensure the transfer of best practices between independent Group divisions- Establishment and maintenance of partner networks in all relevant business lines as well as independent project acquisition- Contact and development cooperation with universities and research institutes- Planning and technical execution of conversion and maintenance work as well as investment planning and implementation for the maintenance and expansion of technology platforms from laboratory to miniplant and pilot scale- Participation and support in planning, control and implementation of the strategic and operational goals of the department and the division

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Completed studies, preferably also doctorate, in the field of process engineering or comparable, ideally with a focus on particle technology- Several years of professional experience in a field of activity relevant to the position required- Experience from activities in the operational business units as well as previous experience with operator responsibility desirable- Independent and responsible way of working; analytical-structured and at the same time creative-combinatorial way of thinking- Initiative, willingness to change and shape things, assertiveness, reliability and flexibility- Distinct social competence as well as team and communication skills- Skill in personnel management and motivation; management experience of employees and in matrix organizations desirable- Good command of German and English and willingness to travel on business from time to time
