**About the role**

As part of the diverse and international team, we are looking for a Financial Accountant (M/F/d) for our MLS office in Berlin as soon as possible. The Financial Accountant is the backbone of MLS finances and works along with Business Analytics and other finance team members. In addition, the function executes all transactional and knowledge-based general ledger processes, such as: general ledger postings, bank accounting, intercompany accounting, general financial statements and accounting and asset accounting. The position is filled full-time, 40 hours per week with permanent contract.

**The role and your impact at the team**
- You manage the general ledger accounting s for the German and US legal entity and perform monthly closing tasks
- Participation in all areas of financial accounting such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and G/L account
- You prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
- You will work together with the business controllers in the preparation of the relevant monthly provisions
- You will actively participate in process optimization in our finance department
- Reconciliation of accounts and clarification of facts and deviations
- You maintain contact with our external tax advisor and auditor during the audit, account assignment and booking of all business transactions

**You will fit great with the following skills and qualifications**
- Successfully completed training as an accountant, tax clerk or comparable commercial training
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including German GAAP (HGB)
- Good user knowledge of Datev and experience with other ERP systems are an advantage
- A structured, proactive way of working paired with analytical skills
- Confident in oral and written communication in German and English
