**At the Department of Supply Chain Management we analyze and optimize supply chains and publish our results in international journals. In research, we work closely with other international universities, the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute, and the Center for Social and Economic Behaviour and are the highest ranked German Supply Chain Department in the Analytical Supply Chain Management of the SCM List. One focus is on the use of state-of-the-art approaches in the fields of analytics, machine learning and optimization of real-world problems. The position is based at the chair of Supply Chain Management and Management Science (Prof. Thonemann).**

**YOUR TASKS**
- Implementation of machine learning and optimization methods in supply chain analytics and digital supply chain management
- Implementation of practical projects with leading companies
- Publication of research results in leading international journals
- Teaching in the field of supply chain management
- Cooperation with international universities

**YOUR PROFILE**
- Very good degree in business administration, computer science, VWL, (business) computer science, (business) engineering, (business) mathematics or a comparable field of study
- Interest in the development and implementation of quantitative analysis and optimization methods
- Programming and database skills
- High motivation and enjoyment in working on challenging questions
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
- High willingness to deliver
- Good knowledge of English

**The position is available at the earliest possible date on a part-time (75%) or a full-time basis (100%). It is limited to 2 years, an extension will be attempted. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.**
