IN A NUTSHELL

A true innovator and creative executive with a global mindset, to provide internal and external clients of Design Hotels with creative concepts that drive the brand forward, balancing brand and business needs. Lead projects across design, experiential, publishing, and digital from conception to finished product to rethink, revitalize and maintain relevancy of the uniquely positioned Design Hotels brand. The role will lead the Design Hotels Creative Studio which is the creative engine of our brand.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Lead the Creative Studio within Design Hotels brand team to develop best-in-class services for internal and external stakeholders
- Understand the core value proposition of our unique brand, develop it towards the next level from an experiential, visual and sensorial identity
- Passionate understanding of the latest global trends impacting travel, hotel, food, art, design, sustainability, fashion to inform creative direction decisions
- Lead the creative team with passion and inspiration to ensure Design Hotels continues to be considered the travel industry’s most forward-thinking brand developing ideas that push boundaries
- Assign projects across the team with support of project management
- Brand Ambassador: Working closely with Director of Culture, instill the brand ethos further into our community and make everybody at Design Hotels an ambassador of the brand
- Brand Guardian: Working closely with Brand Communications team, create concepts that deliver on brand awareness by way of partnerships and concepts that bring awareness in close alignment with the right external global partners

**Creative Concept Development**
- Create and develop new concepts in the area of brand, design, hotel marketing, and beyond from initial briefing to implementation
- Understand, analyze and respond to the needs of our Hotel owners and the community that inspires them.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives
- Develop and produce an outstanding portfolio of product and services
- Work in close collaboration with Brand Communication & Performance Marketing leads to create concepts that meet and exceed brand objectives
- Work with Brand Portfolio team to understand needs of new owners and work on concepts that benefit them

**Commercial Business**
- Manage commercial business needs to bring creativity to each initiative yet meet business objectives
- Commercialize and sell products and services for internal and external clients (hotels, partners, etc.)
- Ensure all projects are on track creatively and financially
- Comfortable with commercial planning and budgeting
- Build a strong and reliable network with our clients and stakeholders
- Meet frequently with internal and external clients, understand their needs and requirements in the creative area, create ideas that match goals and objectives to carefully drive both brand and commercial success

**Digital Brand Performance**
- Have the ability to manage projects that are tangible in nature yet create ways to seamlessly expand them to a digital audience to ensure awareness is met
- Plan the layout and visuals for print and digital publications, products, and digital advertising campaigns
- Take any idea and compliment with a digital extension in partnership with digital brand performance team
- Put together a distribution plan for projects to involve Digital + PR goals
- Work with analytics teams to measure digital metrics and provide insights and recommendations for ongoing improvements toward creative campaigns, using tools such as Google Analytics V4 and heat mapping
- In collaboration with the Product Management team, develop and execute user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design strategies that are aligned with overall business goals
- Knowledge and interest of the latest technological trends, the ability to use metrics to shape the current digital creative strategy to craft unique online user experiences

EXPERIENCE & MINDSET

**Degree & Experience**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, advertising, fine arts or another creative field
- 10+ years experience leading a team in direct and in-direct structures

**Essential Experience**
- Experience creating a brief with client and responding with multiple ideas that answer the brief to meet objectives
- Both agency and brand-side background strongly desired
- Fine arts or art direction background
- International experience working on a global lifestyle brand
- Languages: English, other languages a plus

**Specific Knowledge / Skills**
- Team Management
- A background in design and art direction is a must-have
- Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
- Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives
