**”**Stochastic Algorithms and Nonparametric Statistics**”**

(Head: Prof. Dr. Vladimir Spokoiny) starting at **earliest possible date.**

**The preconditions **are a completed scientific university education as well as a doctorate in the field of mathematics.

**Wanted**:We are seeking outstanding scientists in a research field in the field of statistics or machine learning.

The research area comprises the following topics among other:

- Image processing
- statistical inverse problems

Very good English skills are still expected. International experience is also advantageous.

The position is remunerated according to TVöD and is limited to three years. The work schedule is 39 hours per week, and the salary is according to the German TVoeD scale.

Am WIAS ist in der Forschungsgruppe

**„Stochastische Algorithmen und Nichtparametrische Statistik“**

(Leiter: Prof. Dr. Vladimir Spokoiny) **ab** **sofort** eine Stelle als

**wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in (m/w/d)**

**(Kennziffer 22/31)**

zu besetzen.

**Vorausgesetzt** werden eine abgeschlossene wissenschaftliche Hochschulausbildung sowie eine Promotion auf dem Gebiet der Mathematik.

**Gesucht** werden herausragende Wissenschaftler/-innen auf einem Forschungsgebiet im Bereich der Statistik bzw. Maschinelles Lernen.

Das Arbeitsgebiet umfasst unter anderem die folgenden Themengebiete:

- Bildverarbeitung
- statistische inverse Probleme

Erwartet werden weiterhin sehr gute Englischkenntnisse. Internationale Erfahrung ist ebenfalls vorteilhaft.

Es handelt sich um eine Vollzeit-Stelle, die nach TVöD vergütet wird und auf drei Jahre befristet ist.
