The **Regulatory & Government Affairs role**represents both internal and external interests for the company. As an integral part of commercialization, this role involves identifying and communicating regulatory challenges and opportunities with **Product, Sales, and Marketing** teams. Externally, the role position will position IDnow with **government officials and policy makers** within the European Union and national Member States—across different market sectors that advance **digitalization and digital identity**. This includes engagement within various **Associations and Forums** at both national and global levels, advocating for company best practices, contributing to position papers, and driving strategic goals in **security and public-private collaboration**. **Shape the Future of Identity in Europe** by influencing key legislation in **digital identity** and **regulatory compliance**. This is a role with a high visibility and industry exposure, for which you will have the opportunity to engage with regulators, auditors and policymakers to drive impactful change. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Internal Support**: Maintain regular communications with teams at IDnow, ensuring key updates on **digitization and digital identity regulations**and that compliance requirements align with commercialization strategies. - **External Engagement**: Collaborate with **government officials, regulators, auditors, and executives** at national and federal levels—including technology and policy experts, to shape the future of digital identity. - **Monitoring & Compliance**: Track EU and regional Member State **Regulatory & Directive developments**, analyzing upcoming changes to regulations. - **Database Management**: Maintain and manage the **internal Regulatory/Product database**. - **Audit Support**: Act as the connection between the **Regulatory Affairs team and external auditors**, leveraging personal relationships with **ANSSI and other regulatory bodies**. **Preferred Experience**: - Prior experience in a **regulatory affairs position, in similar companies or in trade associations, or government institutions**. - Familiarity with **government agencies** at both national and global levels. - Ability to **translate complex technical requirements and regulations** for internal teams across different departments. - Skilled in **advocating for company interests** at government forums, association events, and industry conferences, engaging with regulators and policymakers. - Capable of handling **complex regulatory topics**, ensuring strategic execution and seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. - Comfortable with **technical concepts and SaaS environments**, able to **quickly grasp new products** and industry trends. - Strong **convincing and negotiation skills**, particularly in regulatory discussions. - Adept at **building and maintaining networks** within government, regulatory associations, and industry groups. - Able to **self-direct**, shape **regulatory positioning**, and drive strategic initiatives. - Fluent in **English.**: - Advanced level in **German.**: - Additional European languages are a plus. **Perks & Benefits**: - **2 days remote**: - **Health & Wellbeing**: Use your full access to nilo.health, including 1on1 sessions - **We value personal and professional development**: make full use ot the training Platform Udemy - A supportive feedback-based culture where **respect and integrity**guide us in what we do - **We make your remote work comfy**: we provide support on equipment and offer flexible working hours; we help you collaborate and connect with your colleagues both locally and remotely - **Paid special leave days**: - **Workcation possibilities**: - **Specific, locational benefits** - IDnow applies the principles of non-di
