**Role Overview**

As a **Bookkeeper** at MG Consulting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our firm. You will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial information to guide strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our leadership team, contributing to the financial stability and growth of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounting Operations**: Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), Payroll (P/R), and the general ledger.
- **Financial Compliance**: Ensure all financial transactions are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and government reporting.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to executive management, offering insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- **Internal Controls**: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- **Audit Coordination**: Coordinate with independent auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and manage external audits.
- **Process Improvement**: Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls and improve efficiency.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the leadership team to ensure cohesive financial operations across all departments.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- **Experience**: A minimum of 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience, with expertise in managing accounting operations and financial reporting.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Sage DCAA Compliance software and experience with Single Audits and Financial Statements review.
- **Communication**: Strong ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance managers.
- **Attention to Detail**: A meticulous approach to financial management, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of accounting operations.
