Kitchen Assistant

We make small batch artisan ice cream and bean to bar chocolate from scratch. This is a passion project, which emphasizes community, quality and sustainability.

We are looking for temporary help in our Kitchen to the east of Munich. We are looking for people who are passionate about quality food.
- The position is scheduled to start in **May 2025**. We hire on a rolling basis for the summer months.
- Potential working hours are Monday through Friday, starting by 9 am. Afternoon and evening shifts are not available. You must be able to start in the morning.
- A native English or Spanish speaker is most welcome. German can be practiced on the job. Native German speakers are of course welcome to apply, but English is a requirement (we have an International Team).
- A health certificate from the Gesundheitsamt is necessary before starting.
- You must already have a working permit or work visa for Germany

**Responsibilities**:

- setting up, maintaining and cleaning the production area, under strict hygiene requirements
- using heavy machinery and equipment to prepare ice cream mixes, and churn ice cream
- sorting, and processing fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts for use in our ice cream
- hand sorting cacao beans for our chocolate production
- delivery of ice cream to Munich is optional for those with a drivers license
- Reliability is an absolute must. We are a small international team who rely on each other to get the job done
- Our business is 100% weather dependent. This means that some weeks may require more work than others, or a sudden switch in schedules. Generally we try to stick to a routine, however sometimes there are last minute changes in the scheduling. We are grateful for your flexibility.

PLEASE NOTE: this position is NOT central in Munich. We are located in Vaterstetten. Commute is easiest for those with their own transportation. We are not near a train station. there is a regional bus with an irregular schedule

Location: our production is 20 min. outside of Munich. There is a regional bus but it runs with a limited schedule from Ostbahnhof. _Transportation is a factor to consider. _Please note that this job posting is NOT in the city of Munich. You must be able to reach the outskirts independently. Your own transportation is highly suggested.

Pay: 13,00€ - 15,00€ per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
