We are looking to connect with a proactive Accountant to join our team as we expand into Berlin.

**What you will do**:

- Handling accounting entries, bookkeeping and daily accounting operations (e.g. invoicing, payments to vendors, accounting inquiries etc.),
- Accounts Receivable (AR) / Accounts Payable (AP) management: Prepare journal entries for AR/AP and GL transactions, prepare AR/AP aging reports and follow up collection from customers and/or suppliers and partners, liaise with all stakeholders, when necessary (banks, partners, suppliers, customers, sales, etc.),
- Lead and organise accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing,
- Process internal and external Vendor/Partners payments,
- Locate overdue accounts and review the terms of sales, service, or credit contract,
- Assist with accounts reconciliation activities,
- Assist Lead VAT Return preparation and submission,
- Assist in preparing analysis and reports needed by the business,
- Responsible for maintaining assets depreciation schedule reports,
- Analyse financial statements and ability to explain results in detail,
- Help in streamlining accounting processes,
- Liaise with Headquarter for Inter-company transactions and other topics.

**What will make you a good fit**:

- BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- 1-2 years of related work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)
- Knowledge in using MS Excel and any ERP
- VAT experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Based in the Berlin, Germany
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
