Sneak preview of your future tasks

As an Engineering Lead for MBUX Voice Assistant (#HeyMercedes) in the Speech Embedded Platform Team you will:

- Lead, develop and empower a group of software engineers in the Speech Embedded Platform Team for MBUX Voice Assistant
- Line management and managing the technical decision making.
- Lead team to excellence and to become self-directed
- Empower software engineers by providing best tools for their work
- Guide the team in architectural evaluation of the project
- Continuous improvement of people and project in the team
- Hiring and being responsible for the professional development of software engineers
- Provide meaningful career development path for engineers
- Foster positive team culture to enable higher performance and better delivery.
- Collaborate and coordinate with multiple feature development teams
- Handle platform development across different Mercedes-Benz Hubs

Your Profile

**Education**:

- Successfully completed studies with a focus on electrical engineering or computer science or comparable

**Experience**:

- Minimum two years of leadership experience in an agile organization
- 5 - 10 years of development experience in software development using agile methods
- First-hand experience in state-of-the-art development practices and tools (C++, CMake, Yocto, Git etc.)
- Knowledge and working experience in the field of embedded software development, project/product/program management, Quality Assurance etc.
- Expertise in Stakeholder management.
- International/intercultural work experience desirable

Nice to have:

- Experience working with voice assistants
- Automotive software development experience

Personal skills:

- You think in a structured and innovative way, leading team is your passion and have excellent communication skills
- You have proven technical leadership skills.
- You work completely autonomous and have a self-reliant way of working.
- You are proficient in problem solving and supplier management and have the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and tasks in a fast paced environment
- You have a high level of flexibility, personal initiative and commitment

Language skills:

- Proficient in English, German is a high plus
