Your tasks
After our large +50m€ Series B financing round led by HV Holtzbrinck Capital, KoRo is confidently on the path that connects a start-up to becoming a large international company. The area of finance and accounting is of course of great importance for this. Together with the CFO, you will work on the scaling and professionalization of our accounting and prepare KoRo for the next financial market challenges.
- Management of the fast growing Accounting & Taxes team at KoRo
- Scaling, professionalization and automation of accounting processes incl. expansion of ICS and increase of efficiency
- Responsibility for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as coordination of the annual audit (currently HGB, prospectively IFRS)
- You will interface yourself with management, other department heads, and investors
- Implementation of a tax compliance management system
- Coordination with subsidiaries and, in the medium term, development of a group accounting system
**Profile**:
- You have a degree in economics with above-average grades and a focus on finance, accounting, controlling and/or taxation.
- You have several years of professional experience (at least 4 years) in a comparable position, ideally complemented by professional experience in an auditing and tax consulting firm
- You are a team player and have relevant management experience including budget and personnel responsibility
- Sound knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting, and affinity with German tax law (KStG, GewStG, UStG) are your professional cornerstone
- If you are a certified public accountant and/or tax consultant (or even if you have attempted to do so) this is a big plus
- Experience in M&A and corporate law is not a must but helpful
- Being Head of Accounting in a start-up is not always easy, so of course you bring aplomb, assertiveness and strong communication skills. You complement these with a high degree of independence, motivation and initiative
- Since you are leading an international team, fluent German and English are required
