**Short Intro**

Chemovator is the business incubator of BASF. We act as impactful pre-seed investor in and around the chemical industry and aim to provide a response to the challenges of industry and society by means of deep-tech innovation. With our incubation program, we support our internal and external ventures with resources to validate their ideas and build disruptive and impactful ventures, unlocking long-term value and driving economic growth.
Thereby, our portfolio management team has a key role in identifying and executing investment opportunities, defining the venture journey and supporting our venture teams to accelerate growth. We are looking for a motivated student to join our journey in September. Are you the right one to explore the BASF landscape with the aim to strengthen our Start-Up pipeline and unlock unrealized business potential?

**Your Tasks**
- You will research and evaluate Chemovator’s investment verticals and conduct market
- and technology deep-dives for investment opportunities.
- You will support in sourcing, analyzing and evaluating potential investment targets and assists in the preparation of investment proposals.
- You will support the portfolio management team and gain valuable insights in venture development and Venture Capital.
- You will set-up and maintain the deal-flow-database as well as the portfolio reporting (tracking KPIs of our portfolio teams) and prepare the quarterly portfolio reporting.
- You will support in coordinating and preparing modules for the Chemovator Entrepreneurship Academy.
- You take full ownership of your results and consolidate them in a holistic concept to strengthen our venture pipeline.

**You Offer**
- You are a master student with relevant working experiences in the field of innovation management or within the startup environment; ideally, you gained first working experiences in context of venture capital
- You are interested in going deep into the markets relevant for our investment verticals; ideally, you already have first experiences in this area
- You have strong analytical capabilities, and you have a good eye for details
- High degree of independence, proactivity and flexibility
- Your communication skills in English are excellent; intermediate German is needed to navigate through a few topics.
- You feel comfortable with working in a small team within a dynamic environment and taking responsibility for your own topics
