Director Category Management

Our global flagship consumer brand Spreadshirt is planning to completely reimagine its product-market model and - fed with investments - to drive the future of made-to-order fashion and lifestyle e-commerce. On that path to the next level, we are aiming to massively strengthen our commercial teams and are looking for a highly commercially driven Director Assortment & Trading (f/m/d) who is eager to build up a strong category team from scratch and to foster the trading mentality of the business. In that role you will be a key member in the leadership team of Spread Group.

Your Responsibilities
- Build up a strong team for pricing, category management, buying and trading to a team size of 8 to 10 and establish proper processes and tool environment.
- Develop the assortment, category & pricing strategies for Spreadshirt in alignment with the overall go-to-market strategy.
- Contribute to category specific planning and forecasting in close cooperation with our financial controlling team.
- Establish and drive merchandise planning by providing guidance to the fashion design and the sourcing teams so that the right product is available to the customer at the right time, quantity, and price in alignment with customer needs and the sales plan.
- Ensure in coordination with the procurement team that in season proper stock levels of the various products are available and develop in season management strategies for re-order and mark down of products.
- Together with your team analyze availability gaps in the stock and potential lost sales.
- Develop category specific-marketing needs (campaigns, promotions, category awareness campaigns) and advocate those towards marketing teams.
- Monitor day-to-day trading while ensuring that deviations from plan are opposed with proper counter measures.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and adopt the commercial strategy to market circumstances.
- Adopt your strategies on assortment, pricing, and trading to the local needs of the different countries Spreadshirt operates in.
- Guide the conceptual development of pricing and margin management by building up a pricing team towards an industry leading pricing.
- Oversee pricing and its commercial impact.

Your Profile
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in the context of category/ assortment management, pricing and/or trading in a fashion B2C environment.
- E-commerce experience.
- Experience in management and/or pricing consulting is a plus.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
- Strong strategic mindset.
- You are a strong communicator with convincing stakeholder management skills.
- You are a hands-on doer.
