Senior Research Scientist (f/m/d) - Project Leader
Cell Therapy/Immuno-Oncology
Full-time and permanent
to support the development of iPSC-derived macrophages as a therapeutic in the field of immuno-oncology.
Your key responsibilities:
- Lead the activities to develop iPSC-derived macrophage cell products including the establishment of a scalable, GMP-compatible manufacturing process
- Provide scientific leadership in the field of iPSC-derived macrophage therapy
- Actively contribute to and lead cross-team interactions, and liaise with teams across different Evotec sites
- Lead the activities of technical staff
- Develop the scientific strategy for projects and oversee timely execution
- Present research findings to partners
- Drive projects forward in collaboration with external partners
- Maintain a cutting-edge awareness of technical developments and scientific knowledge to improve project performance
Your ideal qualifications:
- A PhD degree in biology or another relevant field with several years of relevant professional experience including macrophage and iPSC expertise
- Experience in project leadership with deep scientific know-how of the immune-oncology space, with a focus on cell therapy
- Express high energy and personal dynamism as well as the competency to significantly contribute to important research projects
- High degree of initiative and flexibility, with the ability to deliver results under challenging timelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, partners and customers
- Fluency in English
