Our Applied R&D Meat and Prepared food (M&PF) department at Novonesis is looking for a committed and skilled scientist with a passion for food, fermentation and microbiology. Naturally, you will also need a strong personal drive, curiosity and collaboration in a changing environment.

This role will work in close collaboration with the Sales team and our customers, R&D team, Marketing team and Production team to deliver Novonesis solution and provide dedicated field technical service.

**To succeed you must**
- Hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Microbiology or food science, or related scientific discipline.
- Have Solid food microbiology & meat processes understanding and experience in microbial analyses including challenge test
- Be Good at data compilation and interpretation.
- Be Curious, self-driven and a strong team player.
- Have Excellent written, and verbal English communication skills (would be an added advantage to communicate in German) & be comfortable in engaging with customers
- Have an open-minded positive attitude, and a desire to achieve results together with others

**Main Tasks**
- Driving Technical sales projects from a scientific and technical perspective: plan trial, analyze & interpret results, share results & conclusion with sales and customers.
- Providing technical support to customers, analyzing customer needs and developing partnerships to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Actively participate in New Product development (NPD) Project in collaboration with R&D teams
- Document results in the Novonesis system and keep trial plans and systems up-to-date.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned (write SOP, initiate risk assessment flows)
- Contribute to an healthy NPD pipeline by providing innovative concept answering customers needs
