Head Gardener

**Job Title: Head Gardener & Handyman**
**Location: Örsundsbro, Sweden**

**Position Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head Gardener & Handyman to manage the upkeep of a large private estate in Örsundsbro, Sweden. The property, located just 50 minutes from Stockholm and 25 minutes from Uppsala or Enköping, includes expansive gardens, woodlands, and multiple buildings.

This full-time, permanent role includes managing a team of two gardeners and requires a diverse skill set in horticulture and general maintenance.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Gardening & Horticulture**
- Shaping and trimming hedges
- Seasonal planting, deadheading, fertilising
- Lawn care, including mowing, edging, and turf management
- Operation and upkeep of gardening machinery
- Tree maintenance: pruning and disease control
- Pest control (organic and synthetic methods)
- Irrigation system management
- Greenhouse and plant propagation
- Vegetable garden and flower bed upkeep
- Snow clearance and winter garden preparation

**Maintenance & Handyman Tasks**
- Jet washing, leaf blowing
- Light painting, decorating, and basic repairs
- Replacing bulbs, fixing handles, minor plumbing
- Basic carpentry: fencing, decking, woodworking
- Gutter and drain maintenance
- Furniture assembly

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in gardening, ideally on a private estate
- Solid handyman and carpentry skills
- Horticultural certifications preferred
- Machinery operation certificates advantageous
- Must be eligible to work in Sweden
- Valid B driving licence required (unless living on site)
- Strong references from previous employers

**Additional Information**
- Salary: 25,000-30,000 SEK/month (€2,150-€2,580 approx.), based on experience
- Accommodation: Private room with shared kitchen provided
- Full-time, permanent role (5 days/week)
- Seasonal hours: longer in summer, reduced in winter
- Daily commuting required unless living on the property

Pay: 2.100,00€ - 2.500,00€ per month
