**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
As a Junior Buyer in our Premium category, you’re part of a high performing team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion in our Offprice segment. You are responsible for branded buying, working together with your buying and planning teams.

**WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:

- ** Lead Your Portfolio**:Take ownership of your têxtiles & footwear portfolio by reporting directly to the Premium Contemporary Team Lead. Your role will involve acquiring new locally and globally relevant brands while negotiating favourable terms for Zalando.
- ** Strategic Growth**: Nurture relationships with major suppliers — including premium brands like Samsøe Samsøe, Gestuz, 2nd Day, ARKK Copenhagen — by driving growth for our biggest accounts.
- ** Creative Direction**:Define the creative direction of your assortment by analysing trends and making informed proposals that reflect both market demands and financial targets.
- ** Collaborate on Strategy**: Work closely with the Team Lead to outline your unit’s strategic direction, including budget and assortment planning. Monitor open-to-buy (OTB) metrics and evaluate performance to provide data-driven recommendations.
- ** Cross-Functional Excellence**:Engage in effective stakeholder management and collaborate with departments such as Logistics, Content, Fashion Store, and Marketing, ensuring alignment with the broader organisational goals.
- ** Explore and Expand**: Travel to attend fairs and connect with both new suppliers and existing brands to continuously enhance our offerings.

**WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:

- You have minimum 1-2 years of buying experience in the fashion industry, preferably with a background in Premium.
- You have excellent analytical skills, knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel and formulas) and combining the passion for numbers with fashion and trends
- Negotiation is in your blood, and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders
- You have a quick thinking and proactive attitude, which also means you keep on top of things in a fast-paced environment, while embracing collaboration. Being able to work in a team as well as being very independent
- You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
