Lead Product Designer

As a Lead Product Designer, UX Architecture at the Instapro Group, you sit at the heart of aligning business goals with the user experience. Your role will strongly influence discovery, roadmap generation, product design and development.

You will be part of the UI platform team, playing a lead role in architecting the foundation of a solid and scalable approach to IA, IxD, and the design system for ongoing and future initiatives.

Your role includes the following:

- Use data and user-centered design thinking to evaluate and monitor how the end user will interact with the platform. Then develop the structure, interactive patterns, flow, and systems to make it optimised
- Responsible for the framework, documentation, improvement, and expansion of our design system
- Increase the adoption of the design system which includes training and guiding product teams in the design system’s principles, usage, and benefits to ensure a successful integration into the product development workflow
- Create holistic designs to standardise and modernise the UI. This includes site outlines, process flows, sketches, scenarios, wireframes, navigation models, etc in collaboration with the customer-facing teams
- Conduct user research at the different stages of product development
- Responsible for effective design ops to improve the efficiency of the product designers and quality of the platform - including processes, QA, documentation, training, tooling, etc.
- Coach and mentor other designers to help grow our design skills and direction as a whole
- Stay up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies and design system practices to enhance our product
- 6+ years of experience leading various product design strategies and initiatives - we’re keen to see top-notch solutions across content, platforms and devices in your portfolio
- 3+ years of experience in creating, maintaining and promoting design systems
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, human-computer interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Information Sciences, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience
- You are well-versed in all UX-related disciplines, such as interaction design, user interface design, information architecture, UX research, product strategy, and content
- High-quality, pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to your work
- You are an absolute team player and like to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong storytelling skills to optimally communicate high-level concepts and insights
- Master your tools. Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
- Strong technology foundation with knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript to ensure your designs are technically sound
