We are currently hiring a
**Senior Business Manager (BM)**, reporting to the German SMC Lead
As part of the German SMC Leadership team, this is an opportunity to join a fast paced, continually evolving environment built on integrity, trust, and a growth mindset.
In this highly collaborative role, the BM will be responsible for co-creating and executing the SMC strategy, lead business innovation and strategic projects, orchestrate the SMC leads external meetings, executive sponsorship relationships, regional office visits, internal orchestration for deal acceleration/unblocking, customer and partner communications, and follow up activities.
This role requires a strong understanding of the Microsoft Strategy, customer interactions, with ability to drive tangible business outcomes while balancing customer/partner needs and internal priorities. It requires someone who can represent the 'voice' of the Leadership to communicate and coach teams internally, while also crafting clear and concise communications to customer and partners externally.
The position also relies heavily on the ability to collaborate effectively across the German and EMEA HQ teamand many other Microsoft stakeholders to orchestrate, manage and resolve any customer/partner issues or setbacks. Key stakeholders include EMEA Area and German Leadership, Account teams, Staff teams, business partners such as BD, SPT, DWR, CELA, Finance, etc.
**Responsibilities**:
Create an end-to-end strategy and process for the SMC Lead’s strategic initiatives, customer and partner engagement aligned to strategy, goals, and objectives, including:
- Establishing criteria for prioritization/selection approach of Customers and Partners (Industry, compete, deal escalations, breakthrough opptys, exec sponsorships, etc.). Combination of proactive planning + agility to react quickly to high priority/time sensitive requests
- Ensuring high quality/high impact meetings by actively managing the preparation and pre-meeting planning (briefings, bringing in the right teams or individuals together, ensuring tangible outcomes, connecting the dots across stakeholders, etc.)
- Develop, orchestrate, sponsor or manage key transformational projects
- Proactive planning and ongoing engagement for Executive sponsorship accounts to stay updated on strategy and progress, maintain relationships, and drive the follow through actions internally/externally
- Managing the action tracking / follow up / orchestration (& helping to draft customer/partner communications while grasping the SMC Lead's 'voice' and appropriate tone)
- Proactive planning and management of Regional Office Visits and Executive Sponsor Relationships
- Creating a structure for tracking engagement impact through established KPIs and evolve strategy based on insights
- Active problem solving and partnering with the German Extended Leadership team and business partners to ensure company priorities are being achieved and customer/partner satisfaction is at a high
