Food Service Worker

**Duties**: Sets up dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts,bread, butter and beverages. Able to clear tables from dirty dishes and organize in dish area. Sanitizes tables after cleaning. Breaks down and cleans area when meals are complete. Replenishes items as necessary. Sets up and operates dishwashers, performs preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours and scrubs bowls, pots and pans. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks such as ceilings, exhaust hoods, under and behind kitchen equipment, washes floors and walls, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload food from delivery trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. Runs To-Go area, taking orders and money from patrons. Makes coffee, tea and other beverages. Stocks as needed. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. - Incumbent must be physically in Germany before a firM/Final job offer can be received. - Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. - This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. - This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. **Qualifications**: - The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is U.S. Citizens and legal U.S. residents. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods time. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). **Education**: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position **does not** allow for education substitution in order to qualify. **FOREIGN EDUCATION**:Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
