Art Director

**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
We are looking for a strong Editorial Art Director (all genders) at Zalando Studios. You will be working on creating and executing visual stories for Zalando's on site channels. Working predominantly on Streetwear but also in collaboration with other categories to bring their strategies to life through inspirational storytelling and authentic content.

This highly collaborative role ideally requires art direction experience - either in-house at a fashion/culture magazine, an agency or on a freelance basis. experience in the fashion industry is essential. We are looking for a strategic and creative thinker who can create engaging visual concepts and who can help customers understand the context behind trends and the latest in street culture.

- You use your outstanding skills to find best-in-class ways to execute on streetwear focused briefs from our Content and Strategy Team.
- Help Zalando to speak more inspirationally to our streetwear customers and bring our ambitious strategic consumer and brand positioning objectives to life.
- Research & build out a strategic approach to shoots on the basis of the editorial calendar and ad-hoc briefings.

**WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU**:

- Creating excitement for our customers and telling unique brand and product stories.
- Build a trusted relationship with customers that goes beyond the transactional.
- Interest in creating content that puts people & the planet first.
- You have knowledge in photography & light. Video and editing experience a plus
- You have a good eye for styling and a deep understanding of current and upcoming trends.
- You have a good knowledge and understanding in art buying within the creative industry in Berlin.
- You are upbeat and fashion savvy.
- You take ownership and know how to lead and inspire as a part of a team.
- You have strong presentations skills and the ability to sell ideas

**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:

- You have a degree in fashion / photography or similar, and/or you have experience in art directing. Ideally you have 2+ years of experience in-house, in an agency or in a relevant creative field as a freelancer.
- Strong interest in fashion, communication, campaign strategy and social media. You are an innovator and have a solid future-forward outlook.
- Enjoy working in a fast-changing, international environment. You are a dedicated team player, open, positive, flexible and professional.
- Experience with Photoshop & Capture One is a plus.
