**Your mission**:
As our Environmental Data Scientist Ecosystem Services (m/w/x) you will:

- Utilize mechanistic process-based models to quantify and analyze ecosystem services provided by agricultural systems, with a focus on soil health and carbon sequestration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate diverse datasets and develop comprehensive models that capture the complex interactions within ecosystems.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and model validations to ensure accuracy and reliability of ecosystem service assessments.
- Explore and implement advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to improve model performance and predictive capabilities.

**Your profile**:

- Master's in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Agronomy, Ecology, or a related field.
- Strong background in mechanistic process-based modeling, with experience in quantifying ecosystem services preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- In-depth knowledge of agricultural systems, soil science, and ecosystem dynamics, with an understanding of how these factors influence ecosystem services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.
