**What you’ll do**
- Manage select Germany-based Global Public Relations team members
- Lead key aspects of SAP media relations strategy, with a focus on German-language media
- Collaborate closely with corporate and solution-area PR teams in the US and around the world to ensure maximum impact and consistency globally
- Drive top-tier German coverage for major SAP-owned and external events
- Develop product and solution-area media program for German-language media
- Develop team structure, aims and ethos to ensure operation as a well-oiled machine
- Continually evolve program and inject creative ideas, test new formats and channels, and expand audience reach through earned opportunities at the forefront, supplemented where appropriate by paid and owned
- Collaborate to cultivate strong relationships with internal partners across communications, marketing, in solution areas, and across SAP
- Partner with our external PR agency teams as appropriate to set and execute our global product and solutions communications strategy
- Play active role in Global Public Relations leadership, including working with leadership colleagues to set, execute and achieve overarching global PR strategy and aims and managing topical news issues as appropriate

**What you bring**
- Demonstrated success creating, executing and leading enterprise technology communications teams
- Experience developing and leading high-performing teams at scale; driving impactful and innovative communications campaigns;, and creating and fostering a collaborative culture
- Deep understanding of technology media and communications landscape, ability to communicate complex topics clearly and a keen eye for what makes a strong story
- Demonstrated understanding of German Tier 1, regional and trade media and their priorities
- Strong executive presence, impeccable attention to detail and experience counseling and educating leadership on communications strategy, including around technical topics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with all facets of the organization to develop and execute plans.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and German, with a demonstrable aptitude for writing clear and impactful content.

Global Public Relations ensures the world's most influential media tell SAP's best stories. The international team drives Tier 1 and top trade media relations for global, US and German outlets, working in partnership with stakeholders and partners across the company and in Global Communications.
