The Finance department which sits in Corporate Services is a core support function for Cox Automotive across Europe.
The Finance team has responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the business, ensuring appropriate controls and governance measures are in place to minimise risk as well as providing in depth managing reporting and analytics to drive business decisions.
Further to the above, the Finance team is core to the delivery of strategic change, providing appropriate support as and when required.
In addition, the Finance team provide a point of contact to Cox Automotive US through the provision of financial/management information.
This role will be responsible for the EU accounting requirements across the businesses based in the EU including Modix
**Scope of the Role**:
An overview of the role:
As part of the finance team you will be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities, including:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the German finance team, as well as the posting of business transactions of the Italian and French branch
- Processing of travel expense reports and credit card handling
- Processing of the annual financial statements with auditors and tax consultants
- Preparation of the monthly financial statements via consolidation groups
- Involvement in the monthly reporting consisting of GUV, interim balance sheet and KPI's
- Supervision of fixed assets
- Responsible for the reconciliation of Intercompany transactions
- Replacement for accounts receivable and accounts payable due to vacation and illness
- Reconciliation of accounts in the general ledger and sub-ledger
- Supporting and working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure data integrity
**Objectives for role**:
- Delivery of accurate monthly financial accounts/reporting within the required deadlines
- Participation in the annual statutory audit and accounts process
- Ownership of areas of Balance Sheet Integrity ensuring appropriate controls are implemented to manage risk
