**Master Thesis: Improve Calculation and Use of Distance Matrices Depending on Day and Time**:
**About PTV Logistics**:
For transport logistics to work reliably, realistic estimates of travel times are needed. Based on this data,
- haulers and delivery services plan their daily tours and estimate their costs, and
- a parcel delivery service can accurately inform customers about the arrival time of their package.

As part of this thesis, we are looking to improve the calculation of travel times between given locations with the help of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

**Your tasks**:

- You are excited about recent advances in AI? You are eager to build and train your own models? You embrace challenges stemming from practical issues in logistics? Then we would be happy to welcome you on board.
You are expected to:

- Examine and enhance training data.
- Get up to date with the current state of the art.
- Choose, implement, train and test learning models.
- Evaluate and improve your models.
- Deploy your models for other services to test.

**Your profile**:

- Good to excellent practical knowledge of Java/Python.
- Capacity to debug, test and adapt code quickly.
- Working experience with Keras and TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of standard machine learning algorithms.
- Familiarity with deep learning.
- Proficient in German or English.
