Material Tester

We are looking for a Material Tester (M/F/d) to be part of our works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

**Your tasks**:

- Different measuring tasks and selection of test methods in the field of material testing taking into account component drawings and international standards
- Sample preparation, grinding and structural analysis (steel, aluminium, titanium) for hardness testing including determination of edge and case hardening depths
- Support in the process of damage cases through metallography and microscopy
- record, evaluate and document all test results
- known about standards and regulations
- have a completed technical training as a materials tester, metallurgist or materials technician or several years of professional experience in the above areas
- have comprehensive knowledge in the field of material testing of common steels, knowledge in the field of titanium and aluminium is an advantage
- have craftsmanship and knowledge of mechanical processing, as well as technical drawings (ideally in the automotive environment), knowledge in working with scanning electron microscope (SEM) desirable
- have fluent language skills in English
