**Who we are**:
UPS Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, is expanding in Europe. It provides risk mitigation and financial solutions for businesses of all sizes and industries along global supply chains.

We are expanding our insurance business in Europe. Therefore, we are looking for a new team member to support our underwriting group as a full-time Junior Underwriter. He/She will report to the Underwriting Supervisor. We are looking for a new team member that has prior experience in the insurance industry, likes to have fun, is able to work independently and embraces change.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- Underwrite business opportunities
- Ensure quality and adherence to departmental underwriting guidelines
- Evaluate potential risk, processes insurance quotes, and responds to internal and external customer requests for information
- Processes policy modifications and renewals for existing customers
- Assist with other policy administration activities
- Perform tasks ensuring quality and overall complete customer service
- Coordinate communication with UPS Capital (UPSC) sales managers in their support of managing customer opportunities
- Investigate customer shipping background and behaviors
- Processes Risk Assessment Criteria (RAC) Requests

**Who you are**:

- Apprenticeship, Bachelor degree
- Cargo insurance Underwriter experience beneficial
- Fluent in German and English, additional language skills beneficial
- Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
- Customer focus
- Proficient MS-Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel skills
