We have built a platform based on an automated laboratory, machine learning and synthetic biology to design and develop novel protein materials with enhanced chemical and physical properties.

Your role

As a Bioprocess Research Associate you will be responsible for co-designing and testing the up
- and downstream bioprocess for our protein targets. You will support the engineers to developz processes meeting the technical and economical requirements for production at high scale. You will work within a small R&D interdisciplinary team and oversee processes for protein production and purification at micro
- and lab bench scale and participate in the scale-up efforts.

**What you can expect to do**:

- Design, implement and test the bioprocess development (up and down-stream) strategies for structural protein targets
- Run fermentation experiments at different scales
- Scale-down and automate processing strategies
- Design data collection strategies
- Help accelerate iterative design-build-test-learn capabilities across teams

**Profile**:

**Your skills**:

- M.Sc. in Bioprocess Engineering or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience running fermentations and optimization of bioprocesses at lab-scale
- Experience with yeast over-expression systems is a plus
