Tasks

We are looking for a Buyer with a focus on the segments Apparel, Fitness, Home & Living and Baby & Kids. You will be responsible for developing arive’s product portfolio and determining what quantities are needed, where and when. Moreover, you get the chance to identify and evaluate new purchasing opportunities, with freedom to explore and contribute your own ideas. While doing all this, you will be supported by our experienced Head of Buying, who can guide and advise you with your key decisions for arive. On top of that, as one of the early members of arive, you will play a significant role in shaping the direction of our business. In particular, you:

- Manage several brand accounts in the field of Apparel, Fitness, Home & Living and Baby & Kids
- Acquire new brands that you consider a valuable contribution to arive’s platform
- Support and execute negotiations with our partners to ensure the best assortment and commercial terms
- Analyse customer trends and identify new potential product categories that arive can serve
- Analyse key metrics and identify assortment gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance
- Work closely with Demand Planners to identify key consumer trends in our business
- Ensure we have the capacity to keep up with our rapid expansion plans throughout Europe

**Requirements**:

- Ideally some initial experience in the retail sector in Buying, Category Management and/or Demand Planning
- Affinity for using data to make strategic decisions
- A strong understanding of the European market - and a willingness to disrupt the way it currently operates
- A desire to work in a dynamic environment at one of the fastest growing startups in Europe
- Experience in an accessible luxury is a plus, but not required
- You are a DOer, with a proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership and responsibility in a growing company
- Good command of Microsoft Office (any additional tools are a plus)
- Proficiency in German and English is required
