We are a leading international supplier of heavy current technology with locations in Germany, Europe, Asia and the USA. With a total of over 2,900 employees, we develop and manufacture oil distribution, cast-resin and power transformers, special equipment and compact stations. Our customer base includes power supply and industrial companies, switchgear manufacturers as well as power generators in the conventional, but also in the regenerative sector.

For our plant in Regensburg we are looking for a **Head of Engineering (M/F/d) cast resin transformers** as soon as possible.

**Your tasks**:

- Technical and disciplinary management of the engineering department consisting of electrical calculation, mechanical design and test field
- Direct reporting to the CEO of SGB CR and technical reporting to the Head of Engineering BU DRY
- Ensuring day-to-day operations at Regensburg site for SGB CR
- Ensuring compliance with design rules and processes as well as national and international standards and regulations
- Planning and controlling of development projects in coordination with the CEO of SGB CR and Head of Engineering BU DRY
- Driving the further development of internal technical programs, as well as existing processes
- Providing technical advice to the customer in coordination with the sales department
- Promotion of interdepartmental cooperation as well as with international locations
- Committee work (e.g. DKE, IEC) and certifications (e.g. UL)

**Your profile**:

- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering or a comparable qualification, intensive knowledge of high-voltage technology desirable
- Several years of professional experience in power engineering, preferably in the fields of transformers or generators
- Several years of successful management experience
- Several years of experience in project management
- 3D CAD knowledge of simulation systems is helpful
- Experience in committee work (e.g. DKE) and standards (e.g. IEC, IEEE) as well as certifications (e.g. UL, Germanischer Llyod) are desirable
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken, desirable
