Head of Production and Industrialization

**Head of Industrialization and Production (f/m/x)**:
Nuventura has developed a new generation of electrical switchgear that is highly innovative and environmentally sustainable, which it now industrializes for scaling globally. While the company continues to develop new products with its R&D department, it now ramps up its production capability to meet growing demand for its already developed products.

While Nuventura's business model builds on licensing its technology to manufacturers around the globe, the company also supplies core components of the technology to such manufacturers. Additionally, Nuventura also manufactures full products for its home markets.

For this step, we want to hire a Head of Industrialisation and Production (HoIP). Both, the component manufacturing and the full product manufacturing are managed by you as our HoIP. As our HoIP you will directly report to the CTO and work cross-functionally including internal and external touchpoints. You lead the industrialization team to develop our type-tested (certified) products further into fully industrialized products ready for commercial scale. You will also work closely with key partners such as manufacturing partners, licensed manufacturers, and commercial project partners of Nuventura to realize the manufacturing of our industrialized products.

For this, key success factors will be the ability to build up and lead a high-caliber engineering team that continuously realizes a high performing production setup. To be successful in this role, you need to have a good overview of production methods and processes, industrialization steps as well as people management skills. You demonstrate leadership skills with great communication and clear thoughts.

**What will you be responsible for?**
- You will build and lead a high-caliber team of engineers and technicians involved in the industrialization and production of the products
- In alignment with the company’s objectives you define the necessary resources, team and manufacturing setup and derive the corresponding investments and roadmap necessary to achieve such objectives
- You oversee and manage deadlines and quality requirements of the production and make sure we deliver at cost and on time
- Together with your team you define all requirements, processes and procedures for the manufacturing of our products at the right cost and quality
- You will communicate with manufacturing partners regarding all technical and commercial requirements and make sure that quality, supply chain management, warehouse management, product cost, safety regulations and compliance are addressed and met
- You will define our expectations and roadmap for internal and external optimization with the goal to minimize risks and to maximize profits
- You will align with the R&D, Operations, and Business Development departments as needed to organize production in line with the company’s goals, interests and needs
- You will ensure that the licensed manufacturer has sufficient knowledge and process control which enables production at the manufacturer’s facility at the same quality level all around the globe

**What do you need to bring into the company?**

- You have the knowledge and prior experience in dealing with engineering processes such as cost optimization, supplier management, issue tracking, yield optimization
- You have the ability to think about scaling and the necessary steps to achieve a man/machine optimization
- You know how to transform a type tested (certified) product coming from R&D into a product ready for serial production
- Good overview of the manufacturing and optimization process. Prior experience in the switchgear manufacturing process is preferred
- Knowledge of type testing, and commissioning procedures
- Ability and Leadership skills to drive the business initiatives with external stakeholders
- Capable of independent decision-making for critical technical and commercial issues
- High sense of responsibility and teamwork
- Ensure health and safety codes are always recognized
- Very good written and spoken German (at least C1) and advanced English skills
- Willingness to travel on a need basis to the customer site
