Industrial/product Designer

colorfy is a data and insights-driven innovation company. We develop aesthetically and functional transformative products for clients both large and small. Among others, our focus lies in IoT, technology, and consumer electronics.

We’re looking for an Industrial Designer to join our growing team in Berlin. You will be involved in every stage of our design process with the ultimate goal of helping improve the way people interact with physical and digital products. We’re especially fond of good communicators, creative thinkers, and problem solvers that possess a well-developed sense of proportion, form, color, and materials.

Tasks

You are responsible for
- Conducting online and field research
- Prototyping designs in our in-house workshop
- Communicate the fundamental concepts of product design to key stakeholders

**Requirements**:
You succeed in this role
- With a degree in Industrial Design, or a related professional degree
- Understanding service-related problems/challenges of clients and end-users
- Ability to solve problems with natural innovative and analytical skills
- Collaborating with internal and external teams
- Experience with relevant design tools and methods
- Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbally and written in English (fluent) and German (conversational)
- Being well-versed in the tools of the trade: Strong CAD skills; ideally, including Rhino (3D), Keyshot, and Adobe (2D)
- Readiness to travel within Germany

- Having several years of relevant experience, especially as an Industrial/Product Designer
- Experience in working with creative people and environments
- Enjoying getting your hands dirty, building fast/iterative physical models to explain and test your design concepts.
