Head of Finance

**The Role**:
As Head of Finance, you’ll be the financial backbone of a high-growth deep-tech startup. You’ll drive strategic planning, build scalable systems, and steer financial decision-making at the core of European defense innovation. You’ll work closely with our CFO, CEO, and leadership team—owning the numbers and enabling our mission to protect and multiply freedom.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale ARX’s finance function in a rapidly growing hardware-software company
- Own financial planning, forecasting, liquidity management, and budget control
- Develop KPI-driven reporting across product sales, R&D contracts, and software business
- Prepare board/investor reports, manage fundraising rounds and due diligence
- Oversee compliance, tax, audits, transfer pricing, and public funding structures
- Partner with legal, operations, and international teams (Germany, Ukraine, UK) on org-wide financial strategy
- Lead the integration of financial systems (ERP, BI tools) to support scale and transparency

**Your Profile**:

- 5+ years in finance or controlling—ideally in a VC-backed startup or tech scale-up
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution—you can build, run, and optimize
- Experience across P&L ownership, capital allocation, and cash flow modeling
- Strong grasp of both product/hardware and software revenue dynamics
- Familiarity with ERP systems, public grants, R&D incentives, and government procurement is a plus
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
- Sharp mind, steady hand, team player
