**About the role**

As a leader of the **Design & Brand team**, you'll be the primary voice of design inside and outside the company, building and evolving Y42's visual identity and keeping it consistent across multiple channels. You will start reporting to our Founder and, later, to our VP of Marketing.

As our Design & Brand Lead, these are the things you will do:

- Guide and inspire the Design & Branding team to achieve more with less, establishing and improving processes and workstreams.
- Hire and develop internal and external talent: designers, copywriters, web developers, and others.
- Speak business language and represent the creative function in business meetings, sitting at the table with marketing, finance, product, engineering, and other leaders.
- Set goals for the area and team, drive alignment, and achieve results together.
- Implement and educate on scalable design systems across the organization.
- Manage resources, improve processes, and set up a work structure that delivers design solutions for internal customers in a timely manner.

**About you**

What we're looking for:

- A great leader who can hire and develop empowered and efficient teams
- A designer in heart, a business person in mind — you understand business needs, articulate vision, and align on strategy
- Experience leading design or branding teams, focusing not only on the creative aspect but also on operational excellence
- Someone who has been there, done that in project management
- Someone who has built their career in either branding or design with a good technical understanding of both areas
- A detail-driven individual with an extremely good eye for design
- Excellent communication skills
