**WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?**

**Columbus **is the **European Module** part of the** International Space Station** (ISS).

This module is** monitored and controlled by the ESA Flight Control Team **sitting in the ESA's Columbus Control Centre (Col-CC), located at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) facility in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. The **Flight Control team includes** different positions, one of them being the **STRATOS**.

As STRATOS in our team you will be **monitoring and controlling the ESA Columbus systems**. In this position you will be **responsible **for **on-orbit operations of the Thermal Control** (TCS), **Environmental Control **(ECLSS), **Electrical Power Distribution** (EPDS), **Data Monitoring** (DMS) and **Communications **(COMMS) **systems **of the Columbus Module.

These main tasks are divided in **real-time**/on-console **operations **and offline/**office tasks**.

**WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?**

We are looking for engineers with the **experience or willingness to work in shift patterns**, in order to guarantee 24/7 support. If you want this position to be yours you should have:

- Ability to **work under stress**:

- Good **team working **and **communication skills**
- Fluency in written and spoken **English**:

- Demonstrable motivation and **interest in Human Space Flight**/Space Operations

We will also value previous experience in Columbus operations and in handling time-critical, high impact situations.
