Munich Re Facility Management provides site infrastructure, services, and security required for continuous business operations in Munich. To lead our Facility Management team which comprises of three teams, we are looking for a Head of Facility Management as part of the Global Real Estate and Services division. As an energetic and committed services professional, your field of activity will be varied: the role encompasses not only leading the Facility Management unit but also cooperating with our regional offices to understand and implement global processes

Your job
- Supervising the Facility Management department at our head office in Munich (premises operations and maintenance, logistics, and security)
- Responsible for site infrastructure and services required for the continuous business operations of Munich Re, Munich
- Ensuring effective and efficient support of core business operations including employees, clients, guests, and members of the Board of Management
- Strategically managing third-party providers and contracts in the area
- Ensuring continuous improvement and development of the services and infrastructure to match Munich Re’s priorities and requirements
- Managing and leading a centre of competence for the global organisation regarding all facility-related standards, including BCM, benchmarks, quality assurance, process alignment, and the comparability of service level agreements

**Profile**:

- University degree in architecture or engineering, plus a business management qualification, ideally also a university degree
- Passionate services and organisation professional with a strong understanding of processes and technologies
- Distinctive and dedicated leadership personality with profound management experience in leading internal and external employees
- Outstanding strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a curious and creative mindset, as well as eagerness to learn and grow with the team
- Desire to challenge the status quo, documented by a track record of successfully implementing new processes and systems in a global organisation
- Strong negotiation skills combined with assertiveness - particularly when dealing with brokers
- Strong leadership skills: leading by example and proficient in agile and hybrid leadership
- Experience in managing senior leaders in corporate speciality positions
- Communicating and working collaboratively and effectively in a hybrid way with teams, stakeholders, and interfaces in our international group
- Strong written and verbal communication in English; occasional business travel will be required
