EMEA Senior Category Buyer RAW MATERIAL (m/w/d)
You are responsible for polymers as raw material category spend. The role entails strategically approaching the supply markets to ensure a fit-for-purpose purchasing portfolio for the regional organization, enabling the most reliable and cost-effective purchasing experience possible in EMEA. You support the development and own the execution of regional category strategies in collaboration with the procurement leadership and functional stakeholders.
**Your main responsibilities**:
- Define and own strategies for dedicated subcategories, in alignment with the regional strategies and targets
- Ensure transparency of all contracts, reviewing terms and validity frequently, managing the contract portfolio and involve relevant stakeholder
- Responsible for the effective sourcing and engagement of reliable vendors and ensure support the other regions globally.
- Responsible to analyse the spend profile on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability,
- Consult cross-functional teams as part of the category activities and is a be a partner to the business, while reporting to the Head of Purchasing Europe
- Responsible for compliant purchasing within EMEA
**Your Expereince**
- University degree in relevant field
- Several years of experience in procurement in an international environment in mature procurement organizations, preferably in automotive, electronics or chemicals
- Performing contract negotiations (incl. terms and conditions), running competitive sourcing events of meaningful, multi-year and multi-million-dollar scope
- Experience in procurement for the RM category spend assigned
- Proficient in spend analytics tools, e-sourcing platforms, project and/or supplier management and ERP knowledge
- Good analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders from varied backgrounds
- Ownership-oriented approach
- Business fluent in English with 2nd language nice to have (German, French)
