The Tesla Direct Procurement team is looking to hire a skilled Supply chain Management (SCM) Intern to support the powertrain, electronics and power distribution team at Gigafactory Berlin. You will work with the team on implementing robust processes to ensure purchasing operational efficiency. You will also be involved with the team on potential new supplier nominations and sourcing. You will get a comprehensive outlook on the purchasing processes at Tesla.
**What You'll Do**
- Support the team in setting up robust purchasing operations strategy and processes
- Automate existing processes to ensure ease of use going forward
- Work on new cost reduction ideas with the wider team and see them to implementation
- Work with cross functional teams and run weekly progress reporting meetings
- Run monthly costing updates for senior management
- Support the team on day to day Ad hoc activities
**What You'll Bring**
- Pursuing a degree within automotive engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or business management
- You live and breathe vehicle direct parts procurement
- You have a drive to get things done
- You have a drive to make sure that all assigned programs are under control
- Automotive OEM purchasing experience preferred
- You are proficient in English
