As an Information Security Officer, your role is pivotal in safeguarding our organisation's assets and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, laws, and regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Information Security Management System (ISMS), a comprehensive framework designed to protect sensitive information and mitigate security risks.

**YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Maintain and improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Develop and update information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Manage security incidents and events to protect company information assets.
- Monitor external threat environments and advise stakeholders on actions.
- Facilitate internal and external audits, penetration testing, and gap analysis.
- Coordinate security tool installation and use, ensuring protection of critical information.
- Conduct Risk Management and identify mitigating controls.

**TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE**:

- Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
- Information security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer).
- Demonstrated experience in Information Security, Network Security, or IT Risk Management.
- Proficiency in security standards/frameworks like ISO 27001/27002/27005, NIST, GDPR, PCI/DSS.
- Strong analytical skills to analyse security requirements and implement appropriate controls.
- Effective communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); German language skills are a plus.
