If you want to advance the world of fintech, we'd like to ask: Are you FIS?_ We are currently seeking a **Database Administrator** for our DB Administration team in Munich. **Our Team** The team is responsible for ensuring the error-free and stable operation of our databases within the "Banking" field in Germany, in order to provide the highest possible availability of FIS products and services to our customers (and their end customers). **Your Responsibilities** - You will be responsible for administering Oracle databases for our operations customers: - Installing software - Creating databases - Software maintenance - Troubleshooting - You will perform database backups and restores. - Part of your role will involve designing, implementing, and improving Oracle database monitoring. - You will develop concepts, plan, and implement performance optimizations. - You will actively contribute to the design development of the databases. - You will translate the requirements of our audits into appropriate database audit mechanisms. - You will ensure database stability by evaluating the impact of new developments and developing appropriate solutions in terms of database and system configuration. - System programming and scripting will also be part of your responsibilities. - You will provide 24/7 customer support on a rotating basis. **Your Qualifications & Characteristics** - You have completed a university degree (Bachelor's or higher) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification. - You ideally have extensive knowledge in Linux, Solaris, Oracle databases (alternatively: MySQL or MS SQL). - Recent university graduates or individuals with suitable qualifications (e.g., completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist) are also welcome. - You are willing to learn programming with Perl or Unix Shell. - Experience in the banking sector is a "plus". - You enjoy customer interaction and working in teams. - You have sharp analytical skills and seek solutions for every problem. - You keep up-to-date with the latest developments in IT even in your free time. - You are fluent in German and have proficient English communication skills. **What We Offer You** A career at FIS is more than just a job.
