Master Thesis: Analog Concept Design

In your new role you will:

- Investigate and compare **of state-of-the-art capacitive DCDC upconverters architectures**:

- Compare and develop **upconverter architectures **consisting of capacitors and switches and their control schemes
- Explore **charge redistribution techniques, circuit and device dimensioning **with aim to maximize battery life time and minimize voltage ripple
- Setup **simulations and testbenches **to determine actuator driving efficiency, step response, and voltage ripple
- **Identify and quantify tradeoffs **between load driving efficiency, quiescent power, boost ratio and chip area
- Depending on your performance in this master thesis there might be an option to **continue this research as a doctoral thesis**

You are best equipped for this task if you:

- Are shortly before finishing your master studies in **Electrical Engineering, Physics **or a similar field
- Already gained **knowledge of power converters **especially **capacitive DCDC switching converters**
- Bring hands on **experience with analog circuit simulation, circuit design, and Cadence Design Environment**:

- Possess **basic programming skills **in Matlab/ Simulink/ PLECS or Cadence SKILL
- Are familiar with **semiconductor device physics and signal processing**:

- Show good communication skills in **English**
- CV in English
- Certificate of enrollment at university
- Latest grades transcript
- High school report
