Payroll Specialist

As our Payroll Specialist, you will have the chance to experience a unique 360° perspective behind the curtains of a textbook hyper-growth scale-up. Reporting directly to the Head of Payroll, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process at WorkMotion for a range of countries primarily in the EMEA region.

**What you'll do...**:

- You will review payroll inputs/outputs to ensure accurate and timely processing of both internal employees and external talents under management.
- You will heaven awareness of the entire life cycle of employment and its payroll processing ensuring accurate and timely updates including new hires, terminations, and employment changes. You will also be aware of other payroll-impacting events such as but not limited to time and attendance topics.
- You will help implement, improve and manage an efficient control process ensuring the accuracy of all payroll inputs and outputs which will both come from and be sent to, multiple different sources and partners.
- You will assist with all payroll year-end activities, statutory reporting requirements, storage of documents and efficiently handling of payroll audits.
- You will have experience in payroll harmonization projects and exchanging data via platforms and interfaces with external payroll providers. You will identify improvements for our payroll processes and where possible suggest improvements to them and our platform.
- You will be able to answer complex payroll-related queries along with documenting and sharing your knowledge to assist in speedy resolution in the future.

**What we're looking for...**:

- 2-4 years of payroll experience in a corporate or consulting environment
- Experience with payroll processing in multiple countries including multiple vendors
- You will have experience in processing payrolls in the EMEA region
- HR/service knowledge with a focus on operational delivery and service excellence
- Data and compliance will be in your DNA
- Understanding of payroll sensitivity
- Experience in payroll processing and vendor management in a high-growth environment
- Ability to design and document payroll processes and improvements
- Experience in managing expectations and defusing escalations in high-pressure and customer-centric environments
- Ability in partnering with other departments including external service providers
- Demonstrated success in projects and initiatives aimed at implementing measurable process improvements
- Strong Customer Service Skills (Process improvement, definition, using a standardized communication framework)
- Experience working with workflow automation across various technology platforms
- Fluent English skills (German and/or French is a plus)
