As a member of our international team, you will work on a **permanent**and** full-time**basis at our research facilities in **Einbeck,** Germany. You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment, and across teams and locations to perform transformation and genome editing experiments, particularly in sugarbeet. **Your role and responsibilities at glance**: - Plan and carry out transient transformation experiments to support our genome editing activities. - In-vitro reproduction and cultivation of sugar beet. - May assist colleagues with other tissue culture and molecular operations and lab processes. - Acquire know-how and evaluate results using in-house bioinformatic pipelines. - Accurately record data and document experiments in electronic notebooks and in the KWS laboratory databases. **Contribute your strengths**: - Completed vocational training as BTA (biological technical assistant), a bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural sciences, or comparable qualification. - Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA extraction, restriction digest, gel electrophoresis and cloning. - First professional experience in the laboratory with molecular biology as well as in-vitro culture of plants working under sterile conditions. - Good user knowledge of MS Office, as well as experience with lab-related databases. - Collaborative mindset and very good teamwork skills. - Reliable and independent working style as well as initiative and flexibility. - Very good level in spoken and written English, basic German language skills desirable. **What you can look forward to**: - Our team is very international and you will find open and honest communication with each other to ensure that all opinions are important and taken into account. - As a family-run company, we live by the values of closeness, reliability, vision and independence - a culture that is also lived out in practice, e.g. through an open and friendly working atmosphere. - Freely following the motto: "Make yourself grow" we promote individual professional and personal development. - As a basis, we offer excellent work equipment (e.g., the latest laboratory equipment), flexible working hours, a fully subsidized canteen, and sufficient free parking at the site. - We create the appropriate framework conditions for you: capital-forming benefits, Christmas and vacation pay, childcare allowance, job wheel. - Health and safety are very important to us, which is why we have a company doctor, a company fire department / paramedic (with time credit) and company sports.
