**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Job Summary**:
The Global Cluster Lead - Transportation is responsible for the development and maintenance of strategic initiatives within Indirect Procurement cluster transportation globally. This is a cross-functional role that will interact with various other functions across the business especially Supply Chain as internal stakeholder globally.

**Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Develops global category strategies for the different cluster transportation categories to achieve optimal sourcing results considering the specifics of the global regions
- Align the strategies and targets with the respective Regional Leads in the matrix organization
- Annual presentation of the global strategies at Board Member level
- Functional lead of the Regional Category Managers of the different regions
- Drive state-of-the-art global sourcing initiatives and assure the quality of the regional initiatives
- Establishes and maintains proactive communication with internal top-level global stakeholders
- Develops supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to provide world-class service and products in coordination across multiple businesses.
- Develops risk management strategies
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Confidentiality Agreement, Global Indirect Procurement Policy etc.
- Supports the vision and mission of the company and its procurement department

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing/buying of indirect categories or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in procurement, supply chain, engineering, business administration and/or related fields; MBA preferred
- Ability of conceptual thinking and to work at high abstraction level as required
- Proven ability in utilizing and leveraging e-sourcing/procurement systems
- Experience in spend analysis, contract development and execution
- Ability to develop best practice sourcing methodology and category strategies
- Excellent teaming, communication, and organizational skills
- Read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, basic reports, procedure manuals, and scientific and technical journals
- Read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, legal documents, and/or other complex documents
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, customers, managers, and/or other employees
- Business English proficiency, ideally cross-cultural experience
