**Kennziffer**: IMST 2025/28 Your Profile For the newly established "Physician Assistant" degree program, we are filling a part-time W2 professorship in “Applied Human Medicine (M/F/d)". Due to the special nature (hybrid teaching formats) and novelty of the program, we are looking for a suitable, highly motivated person who, in addition to the teaching activities to be performed, will also drive the further development of the degree program. The aim of the program is to train physician assistants at a high level in close coordination with clinical and practice-based cooperation partners. This should be reflected in all teaching formats. **We expect**: - A degree, preferably in human medicine, including a doctorate or PhD - Proof of extensive practical clinical experience - The ability and experience to teach basic medical principles such as anatomy, physiology and pathology in a clinically relevant - An interest in research which is reflected in publications and/or the acquisition of third-party funding **We look forward to your commitment to**: - New (digital) teaching, learning and examination formats - motivating support for students - helping to shape and further develop a career-integrated study concept with a high practical component - Competence-oriented interdisciplinary teaching of medical content We expect the applicant to integrate themselves well into the existing team both professionally and personally, to get involved in the academic self-administration of our university and to enjoy imparting knowledge from their own professional experience to the students. The university has a large number of collaborations with universities and research institutions such as Max Planck Institutes and Fraunhofer Institutes as well as companies. Intensifying and expanding these collaborations is highly desired. Active participation in the university’s research activities is desired. In this context, we strive to increase third-party funding and the number of cooperative doctorates. We advocate a supervision concept that requires a high level of presence of the teaching staff at the university campus. German language skills (at least level C1) and English language skills are required. Teaching language ist mainly German. The hiring requirements for professors are regulated in Sec 49 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
