**we are village | queer matters gGmbH**:

- we are village is a respectful and caring queer community project. It’s a unique place for queer encounters offline and online with a wealth of weekly, monthly, and annual events, trainings and festivals that are participated by our large local and international community. Already since 2016, we have been creating and providing spaces for individual and collective exchange, self-discovery, healing, expression, play, art and activism. We explore ideas and practices related to embodiment, identity, creativity and social change.
By now we have become a crucial resource and network for participants, members, educators, artists, volunteers, political actors and queer communities in general. Together we work at the socio-cultural intersection of art and culture, sports and dance, education, social politics and somatic approaches within the queer community. The way we address the socio-cultural needs of queer individuals is unique in Berlin and beyond.
We envision a world in which queer individuals and communities can heal and grow and thereby strengthen society as a whole. We address topics such as loneliness, inclusion, intergenerationality, and intersectionality and aspire to be a place that is innovative, dynamic and expansion of existing queer offerings.

Fundraising, communications, project management and events

**Working field**:

- We are now looking for a new team member to do an internship with us. You would work with and have the opportunity to learn from our whole team - consisting of project creators & leaders, communications and event professionals as well as fundraisers.

**Tasks**:

- Various types of research tasks incl. funding & sponsoring opportunities, events, networking opportunities, media buying
- Creating material for social media - for example by interviewing event participants and facilitators, filming the interviews and editing the films
- Promoting of the project in cooperation with our communications manager
- Supporting the team in analyzing, translating and communicating the findings from the ongoing survey on queer loneliness
- Supporting in design of promotional materials
- Engagement with various types of volunteers with an interest to support the project

**Requirements**:

- Requirements:

- you are required to complete “Pflichtpraktikum” as a part of your studies
- you must be currently enrolled as a student at a higher education institution
- you are fluent in English and have ideally somewhat solid German skills
- you are a team player who can also work and function independently
- you have positive mindset, curiousness to learn and can do-attitude

Ideally you would also have some design (InDesign, PhotoShop, similar) and/or video editing skills and experience.
