About the role

The Buyer will be a member of a remote Global Indirect Sourcing team securing supply as well as delivering cost efficiency and additional value in sourcing programs. This is done by developing and executing supply stream strategies in the area of Indirect Sourcing. You report directly to the Global Sourcing Director. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Located in Ismaning, Munich office and reporting directly to the Indirect Procurement Operations Director; the Buyer role is responsible for providing best-in-class procurement support to Essity stakeholders, driving diverse sourcing initiatives, supporting digitalization and process automation efforts, and contribution to the saving goals and objectives.
- As part of the Essity Global Procurement organization, Procurement Operations teams provide best-in-class support to the business and drive procurement and cross-functional process improvement activities with a focus on value creation and best Total Cost of Ownership.

What You Will Do- Be Essitys sourcing expert in multiple categories such as HR, FM but with an affection for IT & Digitalization-
- Gather and analyse spend and price data, identifying opportunities for negotiations based on company data-
- Develops, anchors and executes supply stream strategies for Indirect Sourcing, e.g. identifying and driving key programs to achieve cost saving targets and setting supplier base portfolios, based on market and business needs-
- Ensure usage of preferred supplier contracts in order to maximize results and to comply with the sourcing strategy-
- Manage and lead the supply base towards an optimal total cost approach & overall efficiency in delivering long term sustainable profitable growth-
- Negotiates agreements (e.g. supply agreements, joint development agreements, confidentiality agreements)-
- Identify volume consolidation opportunities across business units-
- Close cooperation and alignment with operational sourcing, to ensure implementation and deployment of programs and initiatives around the globeWho You Are- University-/BA-/BS-College degree within relevant field (Business, Economics)- At least 2 years of experience in procurement with demonstrated strategic sourcing competence- Experience with indirect materials & services (Marketing, IT, FM, R&D)- Experience in supporting multi-functional projects in an international work environment with remote locations- Competence of working strategically, adequate track record preferred- Good knowledge of contract law- Pronounced negotiation skills and assertiveness- Fluent in English (written and oral) is a must, second language preferred- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Ariba, SAP, Power BI)- “Can-do” mindset and ability to take responsibility with a high degree of self-management- Team player with the ambition to be part of an international, highly engaged team- Strong cooperation and communication skills as well as a strong interest in developing relationships with stakeholders- Ability to use your experience and your interest in adapting to new technology enables a first-class sourcing approach
