Job summary

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is a single-threaded organization that owns the end to end customer experience for heavy and bulky products. AMXL consolidates supply chain, tech, FC operations, transportation, delivery stations, and last mile delivery. We also provide special handling services such as Room of Choice delivery, Haul-Away and Installation/Assembly for select items. AMXL Learning and Development (L&D) plays a pivotal role in training AMXL associates including Ops leaders, Under-the-Roof Associates, Delivery Services Providers (DSP) and Delivery Associates (DA) in the execution of their job duties, tasks, and responsibilities.

We are seeking a tech-savvy and creative Instructional Designer who will be responsible for the creation of training content for leaders, associates and drivers across AMXL network.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials utilizing interactive eLearning modules and videos
- Own and create elearning modules, assessments, measurement tools, and evaluations of training effectiveness
- Develop scalable modules to ensure all training programs are consistent and ready for a potentially global audience
- Demonstrate acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field
- Ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders, SMEs, front-line managers and front-line employees
- Experience in instructional design within related field (delivery, logistics, fulfillment, assembly, installation, etc.) a plus
- Experience explaining complex topics to a novice audience
- Demonstrated ability to balance speed and quality
- Experience with coordination and organization for global initiatives and program or project management skills
- Experience in developing virtual reality training or developing mobile training
- Ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Web Development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with internationalization and localization
- Demonstrated use of multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes
