Team Lead Ad Tech

**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
As **Team Lead Ad Tech (all genders)**, you will be leading the product management and engineering practice within the Brand Media team. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and growth of Zalando's proprietary tools for advertising systems. By developing these tools, we improve productivity, cost efficiency, and ad relevance in Zalando's marketing footprint. In this role, you will have the chance to make a real impact across our customer journey, providing excellent product solutions aligned with the high standards of the Zalando platform. Furthermore, you will build services to execute campaigns across all brand awareness and brand consideration campaigns; this is an important role within our in-house Media Team. This role will report directly to the Head of Media.

**WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:

- Being responsible for building and improving internal tools/products for advertising systems for campaign optimization, creative automation, and more.
- Defining a product vision based on a solid understanding of the existing workflow, stakeholder and customer needs/pain points, and Zalando's company strategy.
- Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., Google Analytics data, analyze surveys, interviewing stakeholders) independently to drive continuous improvement. Drive productivity and cost-efficiency through tools satisfaction rate by continuously measuring feature performance.
- Own the product backlog together with the engineering team / external partners and ensure that the engineering team / external partners have sufficient customer and business context.
- Interact with our internal and external stakeholders to define the right problems to solve and manage the communication between them and the engineering team.
- Lead a team and be a team player with excellent command of written and spoken English

**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:
**Experience**:

- Experience (8+ years) in product management with a track record in rolling out products/tools across marketing platforms and business impact at scale.
- Building solutions for advertisers to set up, publish, and optimize ads in an efficient and lean way is a plus.
- You are experienced in managing large budgets and delivering against efficiency targets
- In-depth experience in working with the most relevant display programmatic partners (ie Google, Teads) is a plus
- Implementation expertise to create best-performing media tactics (ie audience strategies, 1st party data usage, account setup recommendations) is a plus

**Product Methodologies**:

- Familiar with agile software development methodologies (Scrum Sprint).
- You know how to define a product roadmap and have experience in working with stakeholders on delivering the expected business benefits.
- Develops the product /tools with 3 segments in mind: technology, design, and client needs.

**Analytical Skills**:

- You are skilled in prioritizing the product backlog based on qualitative and quantitative data.
- You empower the product team to track the right metrics and drive the product strategy driven by data.
- Deep understanding of digital performance marketing metrics, tools & best practices
- Strong command of analytics & data manipulation tools
- Knowledgeable about tracking, attribution models & incrementally testing with the ability to take action based on data-driven recommendations

**Tech skill set**:

- Strong experience using product feeds, dynamic ads & automation tools
- Experience in working with various advertising systems (Facebook, Google ads, DV360, Smartly)
- Strategic adtech knowledge and implementation experience of the main components of the Display tech stack (ie DSP partners, DCO partners, Brand Safety solutions) is a plus
- Analytical tools (Google Analytics, Microstrategy, SQL)
- Familiar with web programming languages (Javascript, SQL, Github, Google Ads Script, Google Apps Script, BigQuery) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based deployment and development (AWS, Google Cloud)
